Other common symptoms after an accident are headaches and dizziness. These are usually accompanied by neck pain, but not always. Sometimes one or the other or both are the only complaints. An examination of the neck almost always results in positive finding of muscle spasms, decreased cervical spine ranges of motion and tenderness. Other common but less talked about injured areas are the elbows, wrists, knees and ankles.
